A Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery or BAMS is an undergraduate degree program imparting knowledge on concepts of Ayurveda and its efficient use for treatments of patients. Program Details
A BAMS course is 5 years 6 months is a practical driven learning program of which the first 4.5 months is based on academic curriculum while the last year is meant for internship.
Eligibility Criteria for Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery

All college admissions for BAMS are done on the basis of qualifying NEET or National Eligibility cum Entrance Test which is now a mandate for many medical colleges.

Previously, there were many BAMS entrance exams like the All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT), JIPMER, state government conducted entrance exams and some states took students based on their 12th class scores.

Passing 10+2 education or equivalent with 50-60% aggregate score in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology from a recognized board or school.
