What is SLAT?

The Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT) opens doors to law programmes at Symbiosis Law Schools across India.

SLAT is a one-hour, computer-based test designed to assess the skills needed to excel in legal studies and law careers.

The exam emphasises logical reasoning, legal reasoning, analytical ability, reading comprehension, and general knowledge — the core aptitudes for a future lawyer.

  • No negative marking
  • Two exam dates available
  • Higher score is considered
  • Computer-based test format

SLAT is the key entry route into five-year integrated law programmes such as BA LL.B (Hons.), BBA LL.B, and B.Com LL.B.

These programmes are offered by Symbiosis Law Schools, part of Symbiosis International (Deemed University) — one of India’s most respected law education networks with a strong academic legacy.
